M80 Games built the Galactigun VR app as a commercial app. This game is provided by M80 Games and is intended for use as is. This Privacy Policy outlines our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information and User Data when you use our game, in compliance with Meta Horizon’s Developer Data Use Policy.

Information Collection and Use

Galactigun VR does not directly collect or process Oculus User Data or Device User Data (“User Data”) beyond what is accessed through Oculus Platform Services for the app’s core functionality. We only use data as necessary to operate, support, and maintain the Galactigun VR app, ensuring compliance with Meta’s Developer Data Use Policy.

Oculus Platform Services

Galactigun VR utilizes Oculus Platform Services to enable Leaderboard and Achievement functionality. Through these services, we access the following User Data:

  • USER_ID: A unique identifier provided by Meta to distinguish individual users, used solely to associate players with their leaderboard rankings and achievements.
  • USER_PROFILE: Basic profile information (e.g., username or display name) provided by Meta, used to display player names on leaderboards and track achievement progress.

This data is collected and processed by Oculus Platform Services, not directly by M80 Games, and is governed by the Oculus Privacy Policy. Please review Meta’s Privacy Policy for details on how they collect, use, and protect your data.

Data Collection Practices

  • No Direct Collection: M80 Games does not directly collect, store, or process any personal or device data from users of Galactigun VR beyond what is accessed through Oculus Platform Services for the app’s functionality.
  • Permitted Uses: The USER_ID and USER_PROFILE data accessed via Oculus Platform Services are used exclusively to:
    • Display player rankings and scores on leaderboards.
    • Track and display in-game achievements to enhance the user experience.
    • Support and improve the functionality of Galactigun VR, such as ensuring accurate leaderboard updates and achievement tracking.
  • Prohibited Uses: We do not use USER_ID or USER_PROFILE for marketing, advertising, or any purposes unrelated to the operation of Galactigun VR. We do not share User Data with third parties except as required by Meta’s Platform Services or applicable law.
  • Analytics: If analytics are conducted to improve the app, any data used is aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized to prevent re-identification, in compliance with Meta’s requirements.

Data Deletion

In accordance with Meta’s Developer Data Use Policy (Section 6.2), M80 Games ensures that any User Data accessed through Oculus Platform Services (e.g., USER_ID and USER_PROFILE) is deleted promptly upon user request or when no longer needed for the app’s functionality. If you choose to uninstall Galactigun VR or withdraw access to your data, we will comply with Meta’s data deletion protocols to ensure your data is removed without undue delay.

  • Process the request promptly, typically within 7 business days, and notify you of the deletion status via email.
  • Ensure any service providers (if applicable) also delete associated User Data in compliance with Meta’s policies.
  • Follow Meta’s protocols to revoke access to USER_ID and USER_PROFILE data through Oculus Platform Services.

Consent and Legal Basis

Access to USER_ID and USER_PROFILE through Oculus Platform Services is based on user consent, as provided through Meta’s platform, or another valid legal basis as required by Meta’s Developer Data Use Policy.
